Karishma was ill
Everything was planned afresh and shooting was to be resumed when another bomb dropped on Suneel's head. This time it is actress Karishma Kapoor who had to stop shooting abruptly.
No, it is not a starry tantrum that Karishma has thrown. Lolo is a thorough professional and would never do such things to her producers. The reason for her sudden temporary withdrawal from shooting is an attack of chicken pox the poor actress has suffered.
With doctors advising complete rest for at least 20 days, Karishma is expected to start shooting only after a month. This time too, Bachchan senior has shown eagerness to adjust to another shooting dates reshuffle. Not surprising. After all, this is a matter concerning his future bahu's health.

Karishma is No. 1
We have always compared the asking prices of heroes in Bollywood, never the heroines'. Let us take a look at the prices our top heroines seek for appearing in films.
Though it may go as understood that Kajol must be the highest paid actress, it is quite a discovery to note that she actually isn't. Kajol got paid Rs 95 lakhs for Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi. Her spontaneity and talent is definitely the cause of many other actresses' worry but this sprightly, dusky actress is definitely not the highest paid heroine.
Aishwarya Rai is another natural guess. Wrong again. The doe-eyed beauty is very sought after but comes for a cheaper amount than the highest paid. Ash's asking rate is 1.08 crore a film. That is the amount Ash is getting for Sanjay Bhansali's Devdas.
The highest paid actress, hold your breath, is Karishma Kapoor. Yes, Lolo pockets a neat 1.25 crore a film. The actress, though, reduces her price for meaningful films under batons of good directors like Shyam Benegal or Khalid Mohamed.
To reach the top spot, the industry says in chorus, it is Lolo's dedication to work, her passion for cinema and her professionalism that have taken her where she is today.
Having done her share of dance roles, Karishma has shown the other side of the actress in her. She definitely made her mark as the angry young woman of Fiza and with Zubeida she has proved that she is capable of much more.
